Every bloke needs a girlfriend like Rachel. She was recommended to us,
at Procycles Kawasaki Sydney, by a good friend of hers. Rachel wanted to do
something special for her boyfriend and she wanted it to be a surprise. Rachel
knew her boyfriend had been looking online at the yet to be released 2025
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. But when Rachel asked around, nobody knew anything about
it. Until she arrived at Procycles. We found Rachel the only 2025 ZX-14R in the
country! So she bought it. The bike arrived at Procycles Sydney and we wrapped
it up. Rachel then bought her boyfriend to the store. He thought he was test
riding another motorcycle for Rachel’s girlfriend. When he pulled back the bike
cover and saw the new ZX-14R, with a sold sticker for Rachel, and she told him
it was his, he couldn’t believe it. We gave him the key and his hands were
shaking. Happy days. What a great delivery to be part of.

Peter came all the way from Binalong, a small village in the NSW Southern Tablelands and 37 km north-west of Yass, to Procycles Kawasaki Hornsby. He tracked us down because we had stock of the sensational modern-day retro Kawasaki Z900 RS SE. No one else in the country had one. And we know why. The Z900 RS is hot property. A thoroughly modern naked bike disguised as a throwback to the '70s. You know the drill: Easy ride position. Plenty of grunt. Pinpoint-sharp steering. Comfy and familiar. In SE trim, the RS gains a seriously sophisticated S46 Öhlins rear shock with the requisite remote preload adjuster so you can adjust the rear ride height. There’s a totally re-valved front fork that’s damped for serious riding. And, Brembo M4.32 front callipers - mated to a 17.5 mm Nissan radial master cylinder with stainless-steel braided lines. The bodywork may be screaming mid-‘70s classic, but the running gear is thoroughly modern naked bike. Yet all the period piece bits are there, The “Yellow Ball” paint job, requisite duck tail rear seat unit and a four-into-one exhaust system. Peter is sure to stand out when he rides this beauty around Binalong. With a town population of only 543, it won’t be hard to get noticed.

Jianmin always loved riding his Harley. Sure it was a beast to ride, but something about it’s raw power always intrigued him. All that was about to change. His girlfriend Connie and his lifestyle had other plans. Connie was determined to drag Jianmin out of the stone age. Christopher is an all-round athlete. He is a Taekwondo and Ninjutsu instructor and does lots of Stunt work. He’s obsessed with his gym routines and he’s a dedicated family man. It would be fair to say Christopher’s approach to everything he does involves dedication and precision. Same approach when he came into Procycles KTM Sydney to talk about a new KTM 350 EXC-F. He had done his research and knew the latest 350 EXC-F is the best enduro bike on the market. After some rounds of negotiation, we reached a great deal. Berlando was on our doorstep, at Procycles Kawasaki Sydney, right on opening time, keen as to start exploring our range of Kawasaki motorcycles. First off he was amazed by our collection, so many more green bikes than he had seen in any of the other stores he visited. He was particularly interested to see we had the latest Kawasaki ZX-6R KRT in stock, the bike he was really interested in. Berlando was on the money. The latest ZX-R raises the bar in the mid-size Supersport class. The potent 636 cc engine is controlled by advanced electronics and newly designed Integrated Riding Modes which combine Kawasaki TRaction Control and new Power Modes. Steve took advantage of a break in the weather and came down from Newcastle, to Procycles BMW Sydney, to pick up his new BMW R18 B Option 719, finished in Galaxy Dust / Titan Silver and fitted with a Backrest and Sissy Bar. This amazing motorcycle is the Bagger from the BMW R18 Heritage family. This bike makes a bold statement. No subtleties. Just 1802cc of big black Boxer engine that pumps out 158 Nm of torque @ 3,000 rpm. The R18 B’s Rock ‘n’ Roll ‘n’ Rain three riding modes, are supplemented by Automatic Stability Control and Dynamic Engine Brake Control. Reversing and Hill Start Control make hill starts easier. Like most blokes, Roy is all about convenience and no B.S. Murray came in all the way from the Blue Mountains to Procycles KTM Hornsby so he could be one of the first to place his order on a brand new model KTM 1390 Super Duke EVO. Lance serves his country as a member of the Australian Navy, and when he gets a chance to get back to port, Lance likes to clear his head by heading out on a decent long-distance ride. He was riding a V-twin DL1000, but when Lance saw the amazing EOFYS pricing at Procycles BMW Hornsby, he couldn’t resist trading it on a brand new BMW F850 GS. Owning Australia’s most capable and most popular Superbike was not enough for Kamil. When he ordered the new bike from Procycles BMW Sydney, he decided to trick up his new BMW S1000 RR Race with an Evolution Titanium full system, BMW adjustable rear sets, M Brake & Clutch levers, Frame sliders and a Tinted screen. And despite a head-spinning array of S1000 standard features, when Kamil choose the RR Race variant he also got the Dynamic Package goodies, consisting of Dynamic Damping, Heated grips, Cruise control and Riding Modes Pro, along with M forged wheels, Sports silencer, Tyre pressure monitoring and M endurance chain. The Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) adjusts the front and rear damping by interpreting changes in ride height signals on the fly. This Kawasaki 2024 ZX-6R 40th Anniversary model is a very limited edition motorcycle. Andy ordered his early from Procycles Kawasaki Sydney, after he saw the launch of the 40th online. That was six months ago. We couldn’t even tell him how much it was going to cost. He didn’t care. He just wanted one. So you can imagine how pleased Andy was to get the call to say come and get your bike. The Championship-Winning ZX-R, inspired three-coloured livery, looks amazing. The lime green, pearl crystal white and blue colours conjure up a desire to push all the boundaries and smash the Supersport competition, just like these bikes did back in the day. Fortunately for Andy, this new recreation has been optimised for the street and with its sport riding credentials comes a practicality for everyday riding. Including some modern features like the 4.3” TFT colour instrumentation with Smartphone connectivity. Congratulations Andy. This motorcycle is really something special and we don’t think we can get another one. For love nor money.

Sean lives west of the Central West, and had been looking locally for a Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX, with no luck. So Sean gets online and sees Procycles Kawasaki Sydney have a bike in stock, in the exact spec he wants. Sean rings us, we do the deal over the phone and two days later, he comes down to the big smoke to collect his new motorcycle. Sean’s gonna love this bike. Incredibly strong engine putting out over 140 bhp. Fantastic brakes. Really light and minimalist, yet with all the electronic features of an advanced sportsbike. And the most comfortable, stable touring motorcycle you have ever ridden. Especially two-up. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX has character without compromise. Michael dropped off his MT03 at Procycles Sydney for a service, and while he waited, he wandered into the Kawasaki showroom. It was there Michael first laid eyes on the 2024 model Kawasaki Z650 RS. Michael threw a leg over the bike, as you do, and immediately made a connection. This is a familiar story with Kawasaki models, the ergonomics are really something and riders instantly feel really comfortable. So Michael casually asks our sales guy Bryan how much we would give him if he was to trade his MT03 on the Z650 RS. Michael has been a long-time customer, so we gave him an excellent change over figure, just to see if he was serious. Michael couldn’t resist and had enough money left over to buy a heap of accessories. He left his old bike in the service department and rode away on his brand new one. A very happy customer. Here, once again, Kawasaki proves that retro styling doesn’t mean sacrificing modern tech. The Z650 RS is a modern retro-sport parallel twin that is LAMS approved and provides a great combination of light, confident handling with a punchy engine that delivers 38 kW [51 hp] and features Kawasaki traction control, with two modes. The first mode is less obtrusive, but mode two is a welcome assistant on wet, slick roads.

Ilias has a need for speed. He loves his high-performance machines. And Ilias rotates them regularly … just to keep it interesting. Apart from the race bikes in his garage that are strictly for track use, Ilias also likes to enjoy the superbike experience when he rides on the road, so he came into Procycles BMW Sydney, to go from his supercharged Ninja H2 SX to the new BMW M1000 XR Competition. This is about as good as it gets. The lightest and most powerful production crossover bike in the world. Nothing less. Trimmed down for maximum performance – in this case, long-distance performance. Stephen is a regular at Procycles KTM Hornsby and for the last four years has been enjoying getting out on his 2020 KTM 1290 SuperDuke GT. Once you get addicted to the big beastly punch of V-twin power, its hard to go back to being a mere mortal on a four cylinder motorcycle. The rush is just not the same. Stephen saw the launch of KTM’s new 1390 SuperDuke, he came into the shop and rode our demo and it was like he was hooked all over again. The grunty 145 Nm of torque, the awesome 190hp of power characteristics, the incredible electronics, the pinpoint handling, the intuitive WP Semi-Active suspension technology which automatically adapts its settings to the riders input or the road surface, the adjustable shifting and braking controls, it was all there … but there was a lot more of it. The KTM 1390 SuperDuke R reinforces its place as the undisputed Alpha of the Naked pack.

Tom came in to Procycles KTM Sydney to check out his motorcycling options. After a good look around he locked onto the new Gen 3 KTM 390. This is a 90% all new model from what was already a great motorcycle. The major upgrade includes a bigger engine which now delivers 44 bhp. It has a new cylinder head, bigger airbox, new underslung exhaust and gearshift for smoother changes. Gen 3 now has a slimmer, more rigid steel trellis frame, a new cast aluminium subframe and swingarm, with the shock now mounted on the right side, and a bigger airbox. New adjustable suspension includes WP forks with five-way rebound and compression hand adjuster, with the shock getting rebound damping and preload adjustment. New wheels save 4.3kg in weight. The new electronics are amazing with state-of-the-art rider aids. Tom gets Street and Rain modes and new Track mode functions for a lap time. Plus, a launch control system that limits revs to 7000rpm in first gear for the perfect getaways. Cornering ABS and traction control can be switched off on the move for skids and wheelies. Standard you get a new 5” colour TFT screen that’ll Bluetooth to your phone for turn-by-turn navigation, call answering and music control via the KTMconnect app. The LED headlight looks more aggressive. And the best feature for vertically-challenged people is the seat height has been reduced 10mm to 820mm, despite thicker seat foam.

Steve has just bagged himself this gorgeous BMW Black Line from the BMW Motorrad R18 family of heritage motorcycles. This is a cruiser full of character, with timeless design features and featuring a boxer engine with the highest cubic capacity BMW has ever built. A real cruiser for the big boys, punching out 91hp and 158 Nm of torque. Pure muscle and real character. Steve traded his Vulcan S on the R18 BL and he’s about to experience just what it’s like to own and ride a BMW. Not just the extra power. Underneath that classic cruiser skin sits a whole suite of BMW technology, rider aids and creature comforts unheard of in other brands in this class. Last week, we shared the news of two customers who came down from the North Coast to Procycles Hornsby, and bought themselves a new KTM 1390 SuperDuke R EVO … each. Peter has mostly been cruising around on a HD. Naturally he wanted more out of his motorcycling. He especially wanted to get off the beaten track and explore the roads he couldn’t previously reach. Peter did his homework and found the KTM 790 Adventure. He called Procycles KTM Hornsby and we told him he could have the bike at an amazing price. Procycles have slashed the KTM ride away costs of most models … cheaper than we have ever sold them before. Peter is now on the right bike at the right time. The KTM 790 Adventure gets much of the same technology as it’s bigger brothers. The bike develops 94bhp at 8,000 rpm and 65lb ft torque at 6,600 rpm. The engine is a stressed member of the tubular chromo steel frame, from which KTM has hung 43mm WP Apex forks with 200mm of travel. There’s 200mm travel at the rear, too, from the preload-adjustable WP Apex monoshock. The seat height is 840mm, placing the 790 on the more accessible side of the Adventure bike spectrum.

Not so long ago, Lawrence bought an F800 R from us at Procycles Sydney. But soon he was back, looking for excitement. Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX excitement. Even though Tim has been riding for a while now, he is taking it steady and sensibly. He started life on a BMW G650 GS and has now moved up onto a much more serious F850 GS Adventure, from Procycles BMW Hornsby. Simon says he has always been a keen big bike rider, the latest being a Z1000 Kawasaki. So he is no stranger to high performance machines. When he saw that the new KTM 1390 Super Duke R was being released, he wasted no time in contacting Procycles KTM Hornsby to put his name on one. Wise move. The new generation 1390 SuperDuke has been fully revised. The new bigger 1390 engine has a near 1:1 power to weight ratio. The extra capacity delivers a hefty hike in output from 179hp (132kW) at 9500rpm and 140Nm at 8000rpm on the old model, to 190hp (140kW) at 10,000rpm and 145Nm at 8000rpm. The new Beast also has a distinctive, lightweight new LED headlight, and tank spoilers and winglets for increased downforce. Even so, Simon hit the KTM Power Parts catalogue and optioned his bike up with the Akrapovic Evolution Line exhaust, a full Titanium race system that halves the weight of the original, and adds 5hp to the output of that magnificent V-twin engine. Simon also opted to have the Tech Pack fitted, which unlocks all the software features of the bike so it can realise its full potential both on the street and on the track. All proving Simon is really serious about his big bike performance.

Otto is a good mate of ours at Procycles BMW Sydney, and he was pretty excited to be talking delivery of his new BMW S1000 RR Race, fitted with Forged wheels and an Akrapovic exhaust. And looking fantastic in its Black Storm Metallic colours. Otto was excited and just a little apprehensive. Who wouldn’t be. But we assured him it was all good. Even though the S1000 RR Race pumps out 154kW (210hp) and weighs in at just 197kg, it’s is easy to ride at low speeds – the Quickshifter is silky smooth as it clicks through the gears and it negotiates even the heaviest peak-hour traffic with ease. The cable-actuated clutch is very light and precise. Try that with the equivalent Euro alternative! When you get a clear run however, the power delivery is seamless and just keeps giving until you are the one to say enough. And when you have to pull it up, no worries, the BMW Brembo brakes are the “best in the class.” No matter how fast you are going, just a two-finger squeeze will see you back on the right side of the law in no time. The ABS Pro system, and, in extreme situations, the Race Pro mode, keeps everything straight and under control. Otto is going to have so much fun on this thing. Congratulations mate.

Glenn is a very patient guy who knows exactly what he wants … or so we thought. Glenn came into Procycles BMW Hornsby late last year and ordered something special. A beautiful and quite expensive BMW S1000 RR M Sport. We told Glenn at the time it would take some months to source this bike as the M Sport options are all factory-fitted. On top of the already class-leading Superbike S1000 RR, Glenn gets extra riding modes, rider aids, electronic suspension, heated grips, cruise control, carbon fibre wheels, slide control, a race seat, lithium battery, adjustable ride height and swing arm pivot, among a host of other goodies. After waiting some months, we finally rang Glenn to say his bike was on the way … only to find out Glenn had changed his mind! Ouch! Glenn still wanted an M Sport, but he wanted it with the full Carbon Kit as well … factory fitted. So we ordered another one. The high-quality Carbon package is something else again. Gary has owned and ridden lots of motorcycles, but this time he thought he might try something completely different.
