Lachlan looks pretty happy collecting his first bike ever, a BMW G310 R from Procycles BMW Sydney. The 310 R might be the entry-level model of the BMW fleet, but up close up it’s very evident that this machine definitely came from BMW Motorrad. It’s all BMW quality in the build and finish. The first two upscale items that stand out are the upside down gold front forks and the cast aluminum swingarm. Usually only found on far more expensive bikes. Next is the braking system. ABS is standard, like most bikes, but BMW has upped the game with a 4-piston front calliper, and great responsive brakes are vital when you are just starting out. The 313 cc engine outputs 34 HP, but the real difference is how it’s been mounted. With lots of single-cylinders, the exhaust exits out the front. For the G 310 R, the cylinder head has been rotated 180 degrees backward, positioning the exhaust to exit near the rear spring. This makes for less heat under the seat, something you notice in traffic and on hot days. The G 310 R’s riding position is classic BMW ergonomics. This bike will fit most everyone, and the substantial tank gives the illusion of being on a much larger bike. The display cluster provides all the information – including fuel gauge, trip meter, top speed, average speed, tachometer, clock, gear position, and engine temperature. This is a great bike for both new riders, and those who want a fun city bike to add to their shed.

Steve took advantage of a break in the weather and came down from Newcastle, to Procycles BMW Sydney, to pick up his new BMW R18 B Option 719, finished in Galaxy Dust / Titan Silver and fitted with a Backrest and Sissy Bar. This amazing motorcycle is the Bagger from the BMW R18 Heritage family. This bike makes a bold statement. No subtleties. Just 1802cc of big black Boxer engine that pumps out 158 Nm of torque @ 3,000 rpm. The R18 B’s Rock ‘n’ Roll ‘n’ Rain three riding modes, are supplemented by Automatic Stability Control and Dynamic Engine Brake Control. Reversing and Hill Start Control make hill starts easier. Plus the traditional headlight shape features cutting-edge LED lighting technology. The adaptive headlight provides almost complete illumination of the road when cornering. Steve also gets a 10.25" TFT Display, Lockable Fuel Cap, Hill Start Control, Headlight Pro, Floorboards, Tyre Pressure Monitor, Central Locking, Heated Seat, Anti-Theft Alarm System, Marshall Gold Series Stage 1 Speakers, Heated Grips, Reverse Gear, Active Cruise Control, Alarm, Black Powertrain and Seat Heating. But its the Option 719 styling that stands out. The exclusive paintwork and a host of milled parts to forged wheels: Option 719 combines state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship. Ultra-modern paint technology, paired with generous details like the traditional hand pinstriping making every bike unique.

Like most blokes, Roy is all about convenience and no B.S. When he decided he needed a commuter that could do the job, Roy headed into Procycles BMW Sydney and nailed us for our best EOFYS price on this beautiful BMW C400 GT ion. The ion variant means Roy gets a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, Heated Grips and a Heated Seat. We also fitted and Shad Top box to safely carry all Roy’s stuff. Even though the BMW C400 GT is the ultimate Urban Mobility machine, Roy can venture far beyond the City’s limits in comfort and at speed, whilst experiencing a safe, stable ride, thanks to BMW’s ABS and Traction Control, plus the amazing other BMW technical features that come with the C400 GT, that put it head and shoulders above any competition. Peter is another one of our good friends, and Procycles BMW Sydney customers, moving through the BMW Adventure bike ranks and now taking his place on the top step, owning a new generation BMW R1300GS Option 719. Peter started with a BMW F750 GS Sport, then graduated to a R1250 GS Rallye. Peter’s R1300 GS is BMW’s latest, versatile touring enduro, and the Option 719 Tramuntana is a particularly exclusive variant. Unmistakably exclusive and available with premium equipment, designed especially for individualists, and clearly illustrated by the striking green and gold colour scheme. Lance serves his country as a member of the Australian Navy, and when he gets a chance to get back to port, Lance likes to clear his head by heading out on a decent long-distance ride. Owning Australia’s most capable and most popular Superbike was not enough for Kamil. When he ordered the new bike from Procycles BMW Sydney, he decided to trick up his new BMW S1000 RR Race with an Evolution Titanium full system, BMW adjustable rear sets, M Brake & Clutch levers, Frame sliders and a Tinted screen. And despite a head-spinning array of S1000 standard features, when Kamil choose the RR Race variant he also got the Dynamic Package goodies, consisting of Dynamic Damping, Heated grips, Cruise control and Riding Modes Pro, along with M forged wheels, Sports silencer, Tyre pressure monitoring and M endurance chain. The Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) adjusts the front and rear damping by interpreting changes in ride height signals on the fly. It comes with four preset levels depending on the ride mode (Rain, Road, Dynamic or Race), and can be further configured in the new Race Pro riding modes. Advancements to the DTC and ABS Pro systems, along with addition of a new steering angle sensor, mean the S 1000 RR now also comes with Slide Control and Brake Slide Assist functions, allowing Kamil to make like a GP star by drifting into and out of turns.

John believes in starting from the bottom and working his way up. He has owned all the BMW GS models and now he’s riding the best. John first rode a BMW F650 GS, then went to a F700 GS and F800 GS. Otto is a good mate of ours at Procycles BMW Sydney, and he was pretty excited to be talking delivery of his new BMW S1000 RR Race, fitted with Forged wheels and an Akrapovic exhaust. And looking fantastic in its Black Storm Metallic colours. Otto was excited and just a little apprehensive. Who wouldn’t be. But we assured him it was all good. Even though the S1000 RR Race pumps out 154kW (210hp) and weighs in at just 197kg, it’s is easy to ride at low speeds – the Quickshifter is silky smooth as it clicks through the gears and it negotiates even the heaviest peak-hour traffic with ease. The cable-actuated clutch is very light and precise. Try that with the equivalent Euro alternative! When you get a clear run however, the power delivery is seamless and just keeps giving until you are the one to say enough. And when you have to pull it up, no worries, the BMW Brembo brakes are the “best in the class.” No matter how fast you are going, just a two-finger squeeze will see you back on the right side of the law in no time. The ABS Pro system, and, in extreme situations, the Race Pro mode, keeps everything straight and under control. Otto is going to have so much fun on this thing. Congratulations mate.

In between all the Ducatis, Aprilias and Yamahas Peter has ridden over the years, he has also owned every incarnation of BMW GS model, including an F800 GS, R1200 GS and R1250 GS. At Procycles BMW Sydney, we just love dealing with customers and friends like Peter, who know exactly what they are buying and use their motorcycles to the full extent of their capability. And the best feedback we can possibly get is when they keep coming back and updating to the next best model. Peter ordered his latest adventure bike, the new BMW 1300 GS Option 719 with an Akrapovic Exhaust. Despite all the bikes that he has ridden before this one, Peter is going to find his new R1300 GS the most different. The new Evo Telelever technology provides a higher level of stability and improved response on rough roads, and the low centre of gravity and chassis design gives him light and easy steering. Peter also gets more suspension travel and increased traction. And there is a huge difference in the advanced safety features, such as collision warning and blind spot detection. The Matrix headlight technology enables the LEDs to create both driving lights and high beams, providing better visibility on the road.

Glenn is a very patient guy who knows exactly what he wants … or so we thought. Glenn came into Procycles BMW Hornsby late last year and ordered something special. A beautiful and quite expensive BMW S1000 RR M Sport. We told Glenn at the time it would take some months to source this bike as the M Sport options are all factory-fitted. On top of the already class-leading Superbike S1000 RR, Glenn gets extra riding modes, rider aids, electronic suspension, heated grips, cruise control, carbon fibre wheels, slide control, a race seat, lithium battery, adjustable ride height and swing arm pivot, among a host of other goodies. After waiting some months, we finally rang Glenn to say his bike was on the way … only to find out Glenn had changed his mind! Ouch! Glenn still wanted an M Sport, but he wanted it with the full Carbon Kit as well … factory fitted. So we ordered another one. The high-quality Carbon package is something else again. It gives the RR a very exclusive racing look, with front and rear carbon wheel covers, chain guard and pinion cover, as well as the upper side trim panels, all weight saving parts. Glenn’s second bike finally arrived and during the handover he then ordered a heap of Titanium parts, to be fitted at first service. This is going to be one very special motorcycle.

Gary has owned and ridden lots of motorcycles, but this time he thought he might try something completely different. Like this custom BMW R nineT Racer, tastefully modified, without loosing the bike’s original character. Lot’s of pimp action here with the addition of a lighter, more powerful SC-Project exhaust from Procycles BMW Sydney. Plus lots of Wunderlich bits, including Handlebar Risers, Bar End mirrors, a Custom Seat and these really unusual Clear Cylinder covers. The BMW R nineT was always going to be a collector’s keeper. And this one will hold its own in any line-up. Gary now has a real head turner … something to be appreciated by the more discerning motorcyclist.

Our Procycles Hornsby Master Technician and Safari Adventure enthusiast Scott Norman has just landed himself a new BMW F900 GS. Scott has previously owned a succession of BMW R1200 and R1250 GSA models and was tempted to update to the new generation R1300 GS, but after seeing how good the F900 GS looked in the flesh, Scotty opted for the 900. After taking delivery, Scott sat down with the Wunderlich Parts and Accessories catalogue and ordered a heap of extras to Complete his BMW. Now Scotty is all ready for the BMW Safari event which starts in two weeks time.
