NEWS FLASH!

Valentino Rossi missed out on a podium in the first round of MotoGP at Qatar. He finished in fourth spot - over 2.00 seconds behind his Yamaha mate Jorge Lorenzo. The result was disappointing for Vale and the first time he has not placed in the top 3 for 3 years. He heads to Round 2 in Argentina on Sunday - having won there last year after clashing with Marc Marquez, the first of three incidents involving the pair last season. "I am very happy to go to Argentina. In this place I have many fans and its always nice to feel the affection and passion of these people. I have great memories here. Last year it was a great race. It will be difficult to repeat the same result but we will try", said Rossi. "In Qatar I was not able to go on the podium but it was a good race anyway. We worked well throughout the weekend. In Argentina we will have to do the same thing, but we'll have to do better in the race and try to get on the podium. I really like the Termas track and we will try our best!" Yamaha Team director Massimo Meregalli is confident both riders will be up front next Sunday. post-details "This year our riders are both in top form so we are expecting another close fight. We have already gained more knowledge on how well Michelin's tyre life lasts over long distance from the first race. It will be interesting to see how the tyres will perform at this circuit where we haven't done any testing yet." Rossi signed a new two-year Movistar Yamaha contract in Qatar, but Lorenzo is holding out until the season develops and hopefully is in a commanding position to do the best deal he can.

    Karakat - Procycles New Owner

Karakat came into Procycles Kawasaki Sydney looking for information and our recommendation on new bikes. She asked the sales team lots of questions and we suggested a few conservative models, as you do with a girl on her red P’s. Karakat went away and we didn’t see her for a while. Then she was back. After careful consideration, she made her decision - she wanted a new Ninja 500 SE KRT 2025 limited edition special! We were surprised to say the least. This model is about as good as it gets in the 500cc class. The exclusive Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) replica colour and graphics are a giveaway as to what lies behind the fairings. The Ninja 500 SE ABS features LED turn signals, a large clear Windshield, a Pillion seat cover, Frame sliders, a USB-C outlet, a Tank and Knee pads, plus a Radiator screen. And the electronic aids include an anti-lock braking system. Max hp is 51hp @ 10,000 rpm  and torque is delivered at 31.7 lb-ft at 7,500 rpm. These bikes are so popular, that normally we have to special order them, only after we receive a deposit. But Karakat was in luck. We actually had one available and due in a few days. We quickly got the bike prepped, registered, and all the paperwork done, so it wasn’t long before Karakat was riding off on her brand-new bike. Totally confident and looking totally cool.

The team at Procycles Hornsby provided me with great advice and information to help me decide on my new R1300GS purchase. I had not bought a petrol driven motorcycle for over 30 years so a lot has change over that time, but the BMW Sales Consultant, Brent was able to address all of my questions and concerns, and happily arranged several demo rides of different models with and without ASA that helped me select the bike that best suited my needs - the BMW R1300 GS Trophy with manual transmission.
